Cora B. Hunnicutt, 96, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2014. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hunnicutt was born in Macon, Georgia to the late James P. and Leola Gordon Plunkett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest S. Hunnicutt and four brothers and a sister. She was a member of Grace and Truth Baptist Church and was a wonderful seamstress. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy L. Simmons of Macon; grandson, James S. Whitten of Macon; two great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Madison Whitten of Macon; and several nieces and nephews.
