Aubrey Barfield

Aubrey Barfield, joined his Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 6, 2014 surrounded by family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m., Monday at Central Fellowship Baptist Church with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Rodney Queen and the Rev. John Prettyman will officiate. The family will meet friends from 3 – 5 p.m., Sunday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono.

Mr. Barfield, son of the late Dewey H. and Nellie Cromer Barfield, was born in Oglethorpe. For more than forty-five years, he was owner and operator of Barfield Construction Co. Mr. Barfield was a member of Central Fellowship Baptist Church and the Forever Young Sunday School Class.

A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be missed by those he loved most, his wife, Alfreda F. Barfield; his son, Aubrey Chris (Christie) Barfield; two beloved grandchildren, Christopher Barfield and Brandon Barfield; two brothers, Wendell Barfield and Ken (Becky) Barfield and several nieces and nephews.
