Wanda J. Oellig, 89, of Machesney Park, Illinois, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Swedish American Hospital. Wanda was born in South Dakota on September 2, 1934, to Grinnell and Anna Reno. On December 28, 1951, Wanda married the love of her life, Howard Oellig, who preceded her in death in 1995.
Wanda was the best mother and grandmother, as family was her priority. It was very easy to feel loved by Wanda, especially when you got your annual birthday card from her. She and Howard both loved going camping with their family. In her more recent years, Wanda loved spending time relaxing and watching The Game Channel.
She is survived by her children, Debbie (Rob) Alexander, Sherri (Rex) Bennett, Kevin Oellig, and Raymond (Tammy) Oellig; grandchildren, Brian Oellig and Melissa Bennett; great-grandchildren, Owen Bennett-Watson and Colton Bennett-Watson; sister, Beverly Johnson; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; son, Roger Oellig; parents, Grinnell Reno and Anna (Bill) Davis; grandson, Ryan Bennett; siblings, Elaine Raney, Carol Gucciardo, and Jerrold Reno; many aunts, and other extended family members.
