Beloved wife, mother, and Nana
Sylvia Joyce Wall, 79, of Roscoe passed away Monday, July 25th at home, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born January 14, 1943 in Knifley, KY, she was the daughter of the late George Walton and Lula Mae (Dixon) Bottoms. Sylvia retired in 2008 from Warner Lambert where she worked for more than 30 years. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and Chapter L of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. She was an avid fan of Carrie Underwood, and had a passion for reading, traveling, and most of all spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life.
She is survived by her children, Herbert Keith Wall and Kimberly Larson; grandchildren, Kristina Kelly Wall, Jennifer Kinslow, Kristopher Keith Wall, Cody Larson, and Nicole Van Staveren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Luria Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband Herbert; sister Martha Jeston Neat; brother George Bottoms; half-sister Opal Roberts; half-brothers John, Charles, and Jody Blackburn.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Monday, August 1st, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115. Service will be held at 2pm on Monday, August 1st, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Rod Anderson officiating. Burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
