Sandra E. Bryden

Sandra E. Bryden, 73, of Rockford passed away peacefully Saturday, June 22, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born August 19, 1939 in Freeport, IL, she was the proud daughter of William and Maxine (Warner) Snyder.

Sandra graduated from West High School in Rockford, and later went on to marry the love of her life Robert Bryden on June 14, 1959.

Sandra was a proud member of the Scramblin Squares dance association, the Hononegah Chapter of National Campers and Hikers Association, and a Girl Scout leader. She loved reading, oil paintings, old movies, and her cat Patrick.

Sandra leaves to cherish her loving memory, husband, Robert Bryden; daughters, Kathleen (Jerome) Franklin, Maureen Bryden, and Barbara (Leslie) Ewald; grandchildren, Abygail and Chance Franklin, and Desiree Stepp; great-grandchildren, James and Jazlyn Stepp.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws; and 4 brother-in-laws.

Funeral service 2p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Pastor Murray Hanson officiating. Visitation 5-8p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment at a later date.
