Pennylynn Marie Pederson

Penny Marie Pederson, 53, of Machesney Park, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. She was born on June 18, 1970 in Lady Smith, Wisconsin, the daughter of Walter and Marlene (Kniess) Pederson. She attended Harlem High School. Penny's greatest accomplishment and pride and joy was her son, Joey. Penny loved scratch off lottery tickets, coloring, movies and trips to the casino. Most of all, Penny enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. Penny will be remembered for her fiestyness, her sweet and loving personality and zest for life. She will be missed by all.

Penny is survived by her only son, Joseph "Joey" Pederson-Musso; her big brother, Mike (Patty) Pederson; sisters, Shelly (Scott) Steele, Mindy (Mike) Stuhr; sisters-in-law, Michele Pederson, Gina Pederson; special friends, Sheryl Peters, Chris and Sarah Anderson; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who she loved so much; and one great niece, Cataleya Lolli and one on the way in February 2024; and the family dog, Jasper. Predeceased by parents; and brothers, Brad and Mark Pederson. The family would like to thank MercyHealth Hospital 6th Floor Staff for their excellent loving care of Penny.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2023 in Sunset Funeral Home, 8801 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois, 61115. Inurnment in Sunset Memorial Gardens Machesney Park, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
