Mavis Joan Fuller, age 87, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on December 21, 2024 peacefully at home. She was born to Erwin and Clara Strommer in Rockford, Illinois on February 1, 1937. Mavis married the love of her life, William Fuller on November 23, 1956 and later they were sealed for all time and eternity in the Logan Temple in Utah. Mavis was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mavis enjoyed singing and making up songs about any and every situation she was in. She also enjoyed drawing and coloring books. Mavis had a very witty sense of humor. She was well known for her famous dinner rolls. She was an avid Scrabble player and you would be hard-pressed to beat her. Most of all, Mavis was a loving and giving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mavis is survived by her children, Thomas Fuller, Julie (Earl) Seegrist, Kari (Sonja) Fuller, David (Tammy) Fuller, Amy (Curtis) Woods, Brian Fuller, Tara Fuller, Kristin Cole, and Andrew (Amanda) Fuller; twenty nine grandchildren; thirty six great-grandchildren; and siblings, Phyllis McGough and David Strommer.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William Fuller; parents, Erwin and Clara Strommer; grandson, Corey Fuller; and siblings, Francis Strommer, Erwin Strommer Jr., Irene Cedarvall, Mary Clark, and Richard Strommer.
A visitation for Mavis will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 690 N Alpine Rd, Rockford, Illinois 61107, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
