Debra Lynn Sturtevant

Her loving heart, welcoming smiles, and all her hugs and sweet kisses will be greatly missed by all.

Debi was born on October 15, 1953. She was the daughter to Harry and Dolores Marshall. She graduated Rockford East High School in 1971. Debi married her once in a lifetime love, Kendall (Kim) Sturtevant on December 4, 1971.

Debi was a homemaker, pre-school teacher, and retail store manager for Fashion Bug, Paul Harris, and Lane Bryant.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kendall (Kim) Sturtevant; brother, Dan (Olivia) Marshall; sons, James (Misty) Sturtevant and Jeff (Melissa) Sturtevant; her favorite grandchildren, Chelsea, Darien, Amyalie, Julian, and Kylie; many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her dad Harry Marshall, and mother Dolores Marshall; uncle, Mick Winans; favorite uncle, Jimmy Winans.

Debi loved her family with all her heart. She looked forward to family get togethers for all occasions and especially cherished her lunches and game dates with all of her favorite grandchildren.

She was grateful and proud of all the names she was given in life, especially Mama, Mom, Grammy, Grams, and Grandma.

Debi wants you to know she was grateful to God, modern medicine, her sons, and their beautiful families.

A special thank you to our OSF Comfort Care Team. We hope all felt her love and ours. Your remarkable care gave us extended time with Debi.
