Barbara A. Stockwell, 71, of Roscoe, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 17, with her loving family by her side. Barbara was born on December 6, 1939 in Flora, IL, she was the daughter of Robert and Lucille Goebel. Barbara married Charles Stockwell in Roscoe, on September 19, 1957. She was a member of Women of the Moose # 56, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Barbara loved cooking, baking, gardening, knitting, and crocheting. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years; Charles; her mother Lucille Goebel both of Roscoe, her children; Roberta Kohler of Roscoe, Charlene (Tom) Sypien of Rockford MI, Cory (Bunny) Stockwell of Rockford IL, and James Stockwell of Jacksonville FL, 13 grandchildren; Karissa, Jenica, Shay, Skyler, Travis, Brandon, Britani, Cory, Brendan, Charlie, Ashley, Josh, and Sharlie, 11 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father Robert. A casual visitation will be held on Monday, June 20, from 9-11 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Rd. in Machesney Park. She will be laid to rest immediately following the visitation, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will have a luncheon following the service at Beloit Moose Lodge #191, 1806 E.
