Barbara E. “Barbi” Morgan, 57, of Rockton, IL, passed away suddenly, Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Swedish American Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Barbi was born July 29, 1965 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Lynn and Ellen (Carlson) Smith. She married Hywel Morgan on March 12, 1999 in Rockford. Barbi was a loving and doting mother and Gigi. She would follow her three children to the end of the earth. Barbi had a very spontaneous, fun, exciting, strong extravagant personality, always living life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling and tending to her flowers, concerts, specialty festivals, roller skating in teen years, being with her dogs, family and friends, hosting all events and of course her favorite hobby, shopping! Barbi was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Loves Park for many years. Barbi had a caring, bigger than life personality and the sparkle she left will be missed.
Barbi is survived by her husband, Hywel; children, Zach (Brianna Bognar) Hull, Paige Hull and Bryn Morgan; grandson Kane; mother, Ellen Smith; brother-in-law, Rick Story; mother and father-in-law, Annette and Teg Morgan; sister-in-law, Janette (John) Moore; nieces, Lainey and Laura; nephew, Alex as well as numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father Lynn and sister, Lynette Story.
