Austin R. Dalen

Austin R. Dalen, 21, of Machesney Park, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in Rockford. He was born October 25, 2002, to Jason Dalen and Melissa Johns in Beloit, Wisconsin. Austin attended Harlem High School, and enjoyed playing sports. He was employed by Anderson Chrysler as an automotive technician. In his free time, he loved riding his motorcycle, as well as fishing, kayaking and playing frolf/disc golf in the area. Above all else, Austin loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his father, Jason (Crystal Button) Dalen; mother, Melissa Johns; step-father, Joshua Hiatt; siblings, Abigail (Kameron) Hiatt, Aayden Hiatt, Aubrie Hiatt, and Koah Hiatt; special-sister, Faithlynne Button; paternal grandmothers, Carolyn Dalen and Micky Dalen; maternal grandparents, Margie Stanley, Harold Stanley, Mark Johns, and Trina Hiatt; paternal uncles, Ed (Melanie) Dalen and Brian Dalen; paternal aunts, Amy Beck and Tammy (Bob) Remily; maternal uncles and aunts, Matthew, Jeramiah, Jarrett, Jennifer, Elizabeth, and Dusty; cousins, Keegan Beck, Kylee Beck, Evan Dalen, Paige (Jake) Castro, Aryn (Drew) Hayden, Casey Johnson, Aubrey (Fernando) Rodriguez, Lauren Huff, Thomas Dalen, Drew (Brittany) Boyd, Jackson Remily, Samantha (Ryan) Cross; many maternal cousins; niece, Evelyn Herbst; many friends.

Austin was reunited with his Grandpa Butch, who he can now harass every day in Heaven. He is also preceded in death by his grandpa, Kenneth Hiatt.
