Warren "Buddy" Hibbs, Jr. was born on September 26, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to parents Warren Everett Hibbs and Vallora Helen (Temple) Hibbs and entered into eternal rest on February 15, 2019 at the age of 63.
Buddy graduated from Sky Line High School of Dallas, Texas in 1973. He then attended Panola College on a baseball scholarship as baseball was one of his passions. As a teenager he won back to back BBI World Series Championships. He also coached little football that he led a team to a Super Bowl Championship. He coached his little league baseball team the "Sharks" to multiple district and state championships and also receiving the State Sportsmanship award by Dixie Baseball League. He also enjoyed racing BMX which his team won the 1998 World Championship in Rockford Illinois. Buddy was a successful business owner of Meter Parts Supply Co. for 25+ years.
Buddy married Katherine Boyd on October 25, 1986 in Dallas, Texas. He was a Christian family man, very opinionated, very goal oriented, and instilled all of these qualities in his children. He was voted Number 1 Dad and Grand Dad by his wife and children. Buddy especially loved and cherished his granddaughter. He also loved his pets, and cherry flavored anything. Buddy played golf, baseball, football, flag football and raced BMX. He built bikes just to build them. He loved traveling to Las Vegas, New Orleans and the beach with his wife Kathy. Buddy enjoyed politics and loved his country.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Warren Everett Hibbs and Vallora Helen (Temple) Hibbs.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Hibbs of Kemp, Texas; his son Daniel Hibbs and Clarissa Kendrick long time girlfriend of Mabank, Texas; his daughter Mandy Hibbs; his daughter Katie Hibbs; his cherished granddaughter Blakely Hibbs; his sister Margaret Salisbury and husband Tony of Wisconsin; his sister Donna Neystel of Cedar Hill, Texas; and many more family, friends and loved ones.
