Patrick Duane Taylor, 75, of Gun Barrel City, Texas passed from this life on April 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Duane was born on June 23, 1948, in San Angelo, Texas to Calvin Eugene and Frances Lee (Martin) Taylor. He grew up in San Angelo and attended Irving High School, meeting his love, Pamela, who he would marry on January 2, 1970. Later, Duane would marry Cynthia Lynn on August 16, 1991, and share 23 wonderful years together before her death in 2014. Duane joined the Army following high school and proudly served this country for 6 years. Duane was a very active individual. He enjoyed playing short stop for baseball, he was a great cook and a dedicated Cowboy fan. He believed in working hard all day, then relaxing and eating. It was those times he enjoyed his favorites, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream while watching Perry Mason and Columbo. Duane also loved to travel and did so on a regular basis for work and pleasure. He would spend months in different locations such as Africa, Germany, Tahiti, Hawaii and Las Vegas.
Duane is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cynthia Lynn Taylor; wife, Pamela E. Ivy Taylor; parents: Calvin and Frances Taylor.
He is survived by his daughters: Tracy Brown and significant other Chris of Gun Barrel City, Texas, Brandy Igo and husband Nathan of DeBerry, Texas; granddaughters: Amanda Logan, Courtney Esparza and husband Ivan, Harmony Coldiron, Heather Taylor, Tori Igo and significant other Reese; 6 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Teresa Fowler and husband Ron of Irving, Texas; and brother, Larry Taylor and wife Debbie of Ben Wheeler, Texas.
Duane will be laid to rest at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
