Mrs. Mary Blacksher

Mary was born on April 21, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to parents John and Janet Thomas and entered into eternal rest on March 18, 2019 at the age of 72. She graduated from Sunset High School and Stephen F. Austin with a degree in education. Mary taught at Montgomery ISD to over 35 years, teaching 2nd or 3rd grade. She met her husband, Jimmy, at Stephen F. Austin and they were married July 15, 1967. Mary was a bubbly and cheerful person. She loved spending time with her late husband and being with her students. Mary enjoyed teaching, traveling and shopping. She also enjoyed time at home, just relaxing. Mary was an amazing lady with a heart of gold. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jimmy Blacksher and brother George Thomas.

She is survived by her nieces; Camri Dishman of Grand Prairie, Ann Morton of Corpus Christi and Amy Torno of Florida, nephew Shane Thomas of Dallas, sister-in-laws; Janice Thomas and Janice Mabry, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
