Linda Evelyn Owens

Linda Evelyn (Sheller) Owens was born on December 13, 1946 to parents Floyd and Dorothy Sheller. She entered into eternal rest on August 31, 2021. Linda married the love of her life, Leonard Owens, on September 7, 1963 and they began their life’s journey together. Linda was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was all about family, she could always be found spoiling her grandkids and taking in all the “strays”, her other babies that she just took in and loved like her own. Linda was a lover of the outdoors, she enjoyed hunting and fishing. She also loved sewing and cooking for her family. Linda was an LVN for South Place Nursing Home, Kemp Care Center and Presbyterian Kaufman and spent the last 15 years working in home health. Linda was a kind and compassionate woman with a heart of gold. She will be truly missed by anyone who knew her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Dorothy Sheller; brothers, Lloyd and Gerald Sheller; sister, Mary Sheller; 3 grandchildren, April Whitley, Thomas Hyde, Kelly Swearingen. She is survived by husband, Leonard Owens; sons, Leonard Owens Jr and wife Rhonda, Michael Owens and wife Tabatha; daughters, Michelle Carson and husband Dan and Jayna Hyde; twelve grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson; sisters, Wanda McGlaun and husband Kenneth, Judy Meyers and husband Jimmy; brother, Floyd Sheller and wife Debbie. Linda also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, other loved ones and lifelong friends.
