Cheryl Ann Scott

Cheryl Ann Scott, age 60, of Athens, TX entered eternal rest on December 7, 2022. She was born on September 26, 1962, to parent Donald and Phyllis Kruszynski in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 1980 in Lodi, Ohio which is where she spent most of her teenage years.

Cheryl enjoyed training and riding her horses and helping her dad build and get ready for races with his many custom-built race cars. She moved to Texas in 1981 with her family and spent most of her life raising her family. She worked in Insurance for 20+ years, as a printing press operator for another 20+ years and most recently as the smiling face every customer would see when they came into Crescent Heights Water Supply in Athens, TX for the last 2 years. She loved her job, her co-workers, and her customers. Cheryl had a heart and love for animals that was undeniable and proven by the 12 dogs she leaves behind. No matter the circumstances, she was always up to the challenge of taking on animals that people would consider unworthy of love and care and make it her priority to give them the best life possible while she was with us.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her father, Donald Kruszynski, mother, Phyllis Kruszynski, brother, Paul Kruszynski and sister, Donna Kruszynski and many other family members.

Cheryl is survived by her son and daughter-in law, Michael Cowen and Amanda Lester of Mabank, TX, daughter and son-in law, Christine and Jason Fulbright of Quinlan, TX and son Bobby Cowen of Athens, TX. Grandchildren, Taylor Kleinmann, Hailey Parrigan, Shaely Heatherly and Keaton Cowen.

Her fur-babies are currently needing new loving homes, and anyone interested in adopting any of them should contact her son Michael at (903) 286-2587 or daughter Christine at (469) 410-8415.

A visitation for Cheryl will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home, 601 State Hwy 198, Mabank, Texas 75147, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM.
