She was born to C.E. “Bud” and Lora Bill Hoover on February 4, 1945. She married her high school sweetheart on January 27, 1968. They were married for 54 years but had been “going steady” for 61 years. They had two children: Daren and Abby.
Billie taught Sunday school for 43 years at FBC Kaufman and Mabank, from senior girls to young adult couples. Her passion was always for people to know God. Though she always served at church, she never neglected her most prized ministry at home. And her greatest joy was being a Gigi to her grandchildren.
Billie is survived by her adoring husband, Ron Day; son, Daren and wife Emily; daughter, Abby Rike Rockenbaugh and husband TJ Rockenbaugh; grandchildren, Madelyn, Maryl, Annabelle and Ellie; siblings, Bettye Wolf, Mary Crow, and Robert Hoover. She was preceded in death by Parents: C.E. “Bud” and Lora Bill Hoover; grandchildren, Macy Marie and Caleb Daniel; son-in-Law, Rick Rike; siblings, Buddy Charles Hoover, Joann Newberry, and Jerrilyn Shultz.

Visitation services will be held Friday 5:00-7:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Mabank.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Mabank.
Graveside Services will be at Elm Grove Cemetery, immediately following Funeral Service.
