After moving to Washington State from Montana, meeting Ray and Lynn all started with my husband at that time working for Boeing with Ray as his supervisor, Ray gave my husband at that time Rick their phone number. I remember begin so nervous to call as I stepped inside of the phone both and that's when a journey began that I never thought would happen. When God wants you somewhere He certainly will make a way.  When the Lord spoke through Ray some times it was hard to take, sometimes it would shake the foundation of your spirit but it was always what needed to be said. I realize that we are all human but to me Ray will always be a man of God. You helped changed my life and as long as I am still here I will never forget you Ray.

Every Sunday Xeda and I would bring Great GrandFather bagels and coffee to enjoy with him during our weekly visits.

I got Daddy a Comfort Companion kitty. He really loved it. He cuddled it, pet it and listened to it purr.

Brought home a donut from Boeing and he is teaching Jaycee how to get the cherry filling out of the middle = )

GrandFather and baby Jaycee when she was just a couple days old

I visited my Daddy every week at the nursing home while he was healing after his stroke.

I have lots of great memories with my Daddy. I remember gathering nightcrawlers in Edmonds with him so we could fish in Winthrop. His boat was pointy and tipped so easily. He didn't know how to swim and didn't wear a life jacket, but we headed out and he taught me to fish. He sure did love the Publisher's Clearing House sweepstakes and all other Scratch & Win things that came in the mail. He was captivated by all the As Seen On TV items. He made me a special stick to collect aluminum cans from the garbage cans at Pearrygin Lake State Park so I could recycle them and earn money to buy roller skates. I remember all the times we got a wood permit and cut down trees in the woods of WInthrop to have enough firewood to keep our house heated in Edmonds. I helped him hold the chainsaw tight so he could sharpen the blade. I remember being the only one that he had enough patience with to help him back up the truck onto the trailer hitch. I could get him on-the-ball every time. I am so glad he was able to spend all the time with my children when they were young in Winthrop. They had some great times. He pulled them in the wagon to town to get ice cream and in Omak at the Stampede. He had his own little "mister" that sprayed and kept him cool in the heat.  The time he spent with his great granddaughter these last 4 years was SO precious. They really enjoyed each other. They played with Play-Doh, Legos and puzzles. He really enjoyed seeing her every week.  I am sad that his life was cut short so fast.

Uncle Ray wanted to pet our Rottweiler but the dog had other ideas. Ray backed him all y bg e way to yhe open dishwasher before he figured out he better leave well enough alone. Our dog did not like grey haired men. 

We will miss Uncle Ray so much! He was a wonderful  man. 
We enjoyed visits with him and Aunt Lynn though they were not as many as we should have had. They always welcomed us to the property in Winthrop, those memories  will remain with us always. Our love and prayers are with Aunt Lynn, Monique, Monica and all family. Love you Uncle Ray ❤

It seems very rare these days for grandparents to get to love multiple generations in the way that Grandfather did. Grandfather loved his daughters first, being the kid of dad a girl deserved. Then he loved his grandchildren. I got to experience his kindness and humor and love in a way my own mother got to enjoy. Then he loved his Great granddaughter, My child. Though he experienced some catastrophic live changes in the end Years with his stroke, he was able to build a special bond with my child. She was so excited to see him and always asked to visit. While it is heartbreaking that he is gone, knowing he got to love so many and was loved by so many makes it a little bit easier.
