He died in Seattle, Washington. He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen E. Willis-Stone, and his late wife, Angela Stone.
He was born on the 18th of October, 1967 at Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, MT. He attended schools in 7 different states. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1986 in the Security Police career field. Daniel remained in law enforcement until he retired as Assistance Police Chief in Colquitt, GA. After retirement, he and his wife, Helen, moved to the Seattle, Washington area.
Dan thoroughly enjoyed making everyone around him laugh. He touched many people over his 30+ years serving the public. It was rare to see him without a smile. Even as he grew ill, he seemed to be able to have a sense of humor, cracking jokes and making funny faces. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife Helen E. Stone, his father Danny J. Stone (Norma Stone), his brother William R. Stone (Lynne Y Stone) and nephews Mitchell and Jacob Stone, daughters Ashleigh Brooke Stone Griffin (Douglas Griffin, Jr.), Kristen Ivy Stone, Bailey Celeste Keasler, and a son, Daniel John Stone II, step-sons Brent J. Robison (Allison C. Robison), and Blake A. Robison. He leaves behind several grandchildren: Angelina and Isabella Bautista, Douglas III, John, and Isaac Griffin, Beau Stone.

March 18, 2023 at 2pm at the Amphitheater in Colquitt, GA - officiated by Pastor Corey Thomas.
Following the service we will move to 895 Ten Mile Still Road, Bainbridge, GA. Here, we will listen to some good music, hang out, and reminisce on all the great memories we created with Dan.
