     Carol was a beautiful example of God's love and grace.  She trusted in Him and knew, that she'd be with Him one day in heaven, healed and whole.  She desired those around her to know the Lord, as she did, and spoke to them about Him.  When visiting her, we wanted to be a blessing to her, but she blessed us!  We're glad, that we got to know her a little bit this side of heaven and are so glad, that she is rejoicing now with her Savior!

     It was an honor my son Mark and I had coming to Carol's home to sing Christmas carols over the past few years.  Carol would sing along and want more harmony!  Carol was always praising Jesus in every encounter I had with her.  She was Precious!
     Psalm 51:10 "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me."

     Loved seeing Carol at church.  Best smile ever lit up the room.  Such a sweet and kind lady.

     Carol was a powerful force in my life.  She was my friend, confidante, laugh partner and so much more.  She cheered me up, when I offered her counsel as appropriate.  I will miss her greatly!  Best of all, she loves Jesus Christ and shared that blessed hope numerous times, when I visited her.  I also appreciate the generous hospitality of her family, who always made me feel at home.
     Before I leave this note, let me describe one memory-filled incident.  I was in the hospital once, and she and Leslie drove to Overlake Hospital in Bellevue to see me!  I love her much and am grateful our dear Lord has arranged a family reunion, where I will see her at the "feast".  I  love you, Carol.

     I remember the day I met Carol.  She had a smile and spirit, that wouldn't quit.  I knew, when I first saw her, with her smile and joy in her heart, that we would be best friends.
     We were inseparable.  She brought joy and laughter to the bus base (where we worked).  When she walked into the base, everybody knew- there's Carol!  We heard her laugh, and that laugh made you want to laugh.
     She will be missed, but not forgotten.  She will always be in my heart, and I know she's watching over us.   She's with our (heavenly) Father now.   To the family, you have my deepest sympathy.

     I know you were preparing for this, but I am sorry to hear, that Carol passed away a few weeks ago.  I am glad I was able to meet her and you, when Judy started visiting her as a senior companion volunteer in October.  You have given so much time and effort to helping your mother enjoy and have some quality of life in her recent years.  I am so glad, that Judy was able to spend time and support you and her during the last months of her life. 
     Peace to you, and take care of yourself.

     My sister, Carol, was a beautiful child, who became a beautiful woman.  Music and athletics were a huge part of her life; she attacked them both with much vigor!  She had a lovely, very high soprano voice and was a part of many music groups at home, school, church and wherever she went.  Because we were a large family, we had lots of meals together and lots of dirty dishes as a result.  The girls in the family ended up doing dish-duty, which we made tolerable by singing together.
     Music was a huge part of our life growing up!  Mom would say, "If you just did the dishes and didn't sing so much, you would get done faster!"  But we didn't care!
     Carol was also a natural athlete; there wasn't much she couldn't do athletically.  Sports were a big part of her life growing up... softball, basketball and pickleball.  Her senior year in high school, she was voted the most athletic girl in the senior class.
     Her relationship with Christ was always front and center in her life, and she freely shared that with many people.  After her marriage, she was totally devoted to her family. 
      We shared so many experiences together growing up and had each other's back. These experiences did include lots of laughs and many fun times.  Since then, we have shared lots of laughs recalling fun experiences, and when we were together or on phone conversations, many fun trips down memory lane.  She was my twin sister, and I cannot imagine my life without her in it.  I loved her!


     Death brings pain, that time can only heal.  No words could ease what we truly feel; but with God her joy is eternally sealed.  Cherish her memories, that death can’t even steal.  Lift up a smile, for she is already in Paradise.

     I met Carol in a college class in 1962.  We became good friends.  She later became my dear sister-in-law for fifty-four years.  Carol was always fun-loving and kind to others.  She loved her family, God and sports.  I have many good memories of her.
