She married a young, handsome sailor named Ronald Triplett on September 10, 1955, in Stanwood, Washington, and was happily married to him for 58 years until she was called to her heavenly home on July 28, 2014. During her marriage to Ron she became the mother of four daughters, Marilee, Rhonda, Debbie, and Sara, and son, John.
Bertha was not only a busy morther taking care of her family, but she was also a busy Registered Nurse who worked in surgery at Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington from 1955-1973 and also in Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Washington, until they started having abortions. Abortions were against all she stood for and believed so she quit and went to work for Dr. Eckland, a plastic surgeon. She enjoyed working with Dr. Ecklund until she retired in 1993.
A few years ago, Bertha and Ron moved to the desert and have been members of Peace Lutheran Church of the Desert. Bertha was been an active member of Peace in Bible Class and other activities and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband Ronald Triplett, Palm Desert, CA; daughters Marilee Triplett of Palm Desert, CA, Rhonda Runyan of Lake Tapps, WA, Debbie Triplett of Poulsbo, WA, and Sara Caban of Auburn, WA; son John Triplett of Enumclaw, WA; sister Magda Head of Evansville, IN; brothers Matt Kjelstad of Fox Island, WA, and Bert Kjelstad of Stanwood, WA; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
