Joanne Therrien

Kind and generous, Joanne routinely opened her home and her heart to family, friends, and animals, alike. An only child, one did not have to be blood-related for her to consider someone as family. She was always ready with a cup of coffee and a sympathetic ear.

A graduate of Boston University, Joanne was a lover of books and history. While she stressed the importance of a formal education, she celebrated knowledge of all types. Professors and ditch-diggers were equally welcome at her table. She had a dark sense of humor, often finding laughter in the absurd, macabre, and ironic; an attribute that also she fostered in each of her children.

She is survived by her partner of 35 years, Robert Graham, and her three children: Tabatha Titus, and her partner, Eric Boe, Christopher Therrien, and Elizabeth Therrien; her granddaughter, Emma Titus; as well as her stepdaughters, Jennifer La Flamme, Rebecca Dyer, and Melissa Gomez-Juarez; and her stepsons, Timothy Carpenter and Shawn Carpenter. She is preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Lola Bohn, and her first two husbands, John Titus and Richard Therrien.

Visiting hours will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 5 - 7 PM. A Requiem Mass will be held in St. Joseph’s Church, Lynn at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 15, 2022. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will be private.
