Jeffrey Clayton Darling

Jeffrey C. Darling, a life-long resident of Lynn, passed away in his home on Sunday, April 9, 2016 at the age of 71. Born in Lynn on August 9, 1944, he was the son of the late Clayton and Virginia (Bell) Darling. Jeffrey was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School with the Class of 1962. Soon after school, he enlisted into the US Navy to help fight for our country during the Vietnam War. He began his service on July 13, 1966 aboard the USS Utina and was honorably discharged from active duty on July 11, 1968 having attained the National Defense Service Medal. Upon his return home, Jeffrey went to work for General Electric / River Works where he worked for over 30 years as a stock chaser until his retirement in 2001. In his spare time, Jeffrey enjoyed traveling with his friends and taking in a live auto race. Jeffrey is survived by his sister, Claire Danjou and her husband, Leo of Freemont, NH. Visiting Hours will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. LYNN on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 4 to 7 PM. relatives and friends are kindly invited.
