Gail Marie Somers

Gail Marie (Cote) Somers, age 64, of Lynn, passed away on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024. She was the beloved wife of James E. Somers with whom she shared 29 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Sr. and Barbara (Aliferis) Cote.

Her legacy continues through her children; Jason Ludwig and his wife Denè of Seabrook, NH, Danielle Ludwig of Lynn, Jamie Ludwig of Salem, Jessica Ludwig of Lynn, and Scott Guzman of Lynn. She was the cherished grandmother of Liana Ludwig, Jason Ludwig Jr., Meadow Cote, Josiah Ludwig, Jaycee Zorzy, Gianna Ludwig, Briella Ludwig and Dakota Ludwig. She was the dear sister of Cheryl Potter and her husband Raymond of Lynn, Scott Cote and his wife Thelxi of Swampscott, Douglas Cote of Lynn, and Barbara "Buffy" Cote of Lynn, and sister-in-law Robin Cote of Reading, along with the late Ernest Cote Jr., Ronald Cote and Donald Cote.

She grew up in Lynn, graduating from Lynn Classical High School with the Class of 1977, and went on to raise her family there. Her fondest memories were when she got to spend time together with family and friends, especially in York Beach, Maine which was her favorite place to be.

A Visitation for Gail will be held Monday, September 16, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Cuffe- McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
