Eileen C. Beaton

Mrs. Eileen C. (Mahar) Beaton, 79, of Lynn, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late George E. Beaton with whom she shared 45 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, Eileen was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Driscoll) Mahar. She worked for General Electric in Wilmington for her entire career, retiring in 1996. Eileen loved traveling and camping with her family and was very affectionate to her dogs, Brutus, Kayla and Gizmo. She enjoyed trips on the boat from the Lynn Harbor.

Eileen is survived by her loving children, George E. Beaton, Jr. and fiancé Lynne Pittman of Lynn, James M. Beaton and wife Penny of Lynn, Brian J. Beaton of Lynn, David P. Beaton and wife Lisa of Lynn, Robert C. Beaton and wife Jill of North Chelmsford, Cindy A. Boyer of New Hampshire and Brenda E. Beaton of North Carolina. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Sister of Kevin Mahar of Lynn. Predeceased by brothers Ernest Mahar, Raymond Mahar and sister, Marilyn Sampson.

Funeral from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Thursday at 9:30AM. Mass at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple St. Lynn at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
