Edmund J. Romanowski of Lynn died on Thursday, July 18, 2024. He was the husband of Joan G. (Carroll) whom he shared 67 years of marriage. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Josef S. and Pauline G. (Myslivy). He graduated from Rindge Technical High School and Northeastern University with a degree in chemistry. He served four years in the Air Force assigned to the duty of Crew-Chief Engineer as part of the 2nd Tow Target Squadron flying A-26 Invaders during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the General Latex Chemical Corporation for over 40 years retiring as the plant manager. He served as Scoutmaster for over 20 years at St. Joseph Parish in Lynn.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his five sons Stephen and his wife Anne of Saugus, Paul and his wife Mary of Rochester, NH, John and his wife Pam of Newton, NH, David of Lynn, and Peter and his wife Karin of Stoneham, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a niece and nephew. He was predeceased by his daughter Janet M. and his brother Henry S.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn.
