Edith “Freshie” (Roberts) Roach, 61, of Lynn, passed from this life unexpectedly on Monday. She was the beloved wife of Gary M. Roach, Sr., with whom she shared 41 years of marriage, and was the devoted mother of Gary M. Roach, Jr. and Derek Roach of Lynn, and Kerri (Roach) Cushna and her husband Christopher Cushna of Virginia. She was also the loving "Meemaw" of Logan Mateo Cushna and Anya Rose Cushna.
She spent the last fifteen years teaching in the Lynn and Chelsea school systems where she made many friends and helped mold young minds. She enjoyed crocheting, making specialty cakes and walking on the beach with her family.
She is survived by her brothers, Charles Roberts and William Roberts, and her sisters, Mary Rocker, Margaret Coscia, and Bonnie Roberts, and several nieces and nephews including Kathy Williams.
A celebration of her life will be held at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Tuesday, November 26. Visitation is from 3PM to 7PM, with a Funeral service immediately following at 7 PM.
