Catherine "Peggy" Blomster

Catherine “Peggy” Bryant Blomster born and lived her entire life in Lynn, died March 11, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl “Alan” Blomster, sharing 47 years of marriage before his passing. She was born on January 19, 1940 to the late Robert and Catherine (Campbell) Bryant. She graduated from St Mary’s of Lynn. Peggy was employed at the former Transitron Electronics of Wakefield and then worked at GE in Lynn for almost 30 years retiring in 2001. In retirement, Alan and Peggy enjoyed gambling in Vegas and Foxwoods, and spending the winters in Ft Myers, Florida with childhood friends. She is survived by her son Dennis Blomster of Lynn, daughter, Kim MacLeod and her husband Scott of Danvers and her beloved grandchildren, Kerrin MacLeod of Boston and Cameron MacLeod of Danvers. She also leaves her sisters, Elaine Kalapinski of Lynn and Rebecca Dana of Peabody, her sister-in-law, Terry Blomster of Florida and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Donald, Norval and Robert, and her sisters, Elizabeth (Deanie), and Rosemary (Ann). Her beloved birds, squirrels and chipmunks whom she made sure were fed very well will miss their daily treats.

A funeral for Peggy will be held on Thursday March 16, 2023, in Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn, at 9am, followed by a funeral Mass in Saint Pius V Church, 215 Maple St, Lynn, at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 4pm – 8pm on Wednesday March 15, in Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home. Burial will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
