KURBAN, Amal K., M.D. of Boston, MA passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, age 83. He was Professor of Dermatology at Boston University Medical Center where he was actively teaching and treating patients until his untimely death.
Dr. Kurban leaves behind his beloved wife, Helena (Lu-Affatt), his four children, Margaret and her husband Antoine Abu Hamad, Andrew and his wife Gina (Caligiuri), Ramsay and his wife Jean (Brazis), and Suhail and his wife Rada (Konstantinova); his twelve cherished grandchildren, Anthony Zuhair, Reema, Lara, Alexander, Carina, Amahl Joseph, Catya, Elizabeth, Michael, Steven, Nadia, and Amin; his sisters Violet Jiryes and the late Leila Barkett; his nephews & nieces Anisa, Margaret, Salim, Mona, Taghrid, Salim, Musa, Ghada, Issa, Margaret and their families.
A celebration of Dr. Kurban’s life will be held at the Winchester Unitarian Society, 478 Main Street, Winchester, MA, 01890 at 11AM, Saturday, October 15th for family and friends (after which coffee/light refreshments will be served and Condolences may be received).
