William Scott Dye

Born January 14, 1972 in Lynchburg, he was the son of Brenda Stowe Dye Carmichael of Rustburg and the late William “Bill” Ershel Dye. Scott was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Katelyn Dye. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Tree of Life Ministries.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his twin daughters, Sarah Elizabeth and Ashely Kathleen Dye; a sister, Angela Coleman of Rustburg and his father and mother-in-law, Melvin and Sharon Jamerson of Lynchburg.

A graveside service, with military honors by American Legion Post 16, will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Virginia Memorial Park with Pastor J. Mike Dodson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2022 Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
