Tony Lee Vaughan, 61, of Lynchburg passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Guggenheimer Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his family.
Born in Victoria, VA December 10, 1956, he was the son of the late Sterling Lewis Vaughan and Mabel Harvey Vaughan. Tony was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to play golf and was a Green Bay Packers fan. He also enjoyed classic cars.
He is survived by his wife, Karen M. Vaughan; one son, Tony L. Vaughan, Jr. and his wife Molly of Concord; two step-children, Tabitha Eagle and her husband Derek Ragland of Rustburg and Chris Eagle of Lynchburg; three sisters, Delores Seamster and her husband Robert, Deborah Vaughan and her wife Beverley and Patricia Cyrus and her husband Glenn all of Lynchburg; three brothers, Sterling L. Vaughan, Jr. and his wife Dorothy and Terry L. Vaughan and his wife Vicky both of Lynchburg and Michael L. Vaughan and his wife Barbara of Madison Heights and six grandchildren, Christian Tomlin, Dillan Tomlin, Delaney Ragland, Taytum Ragland, Victoria Vaughan and Landon Ross. He is also survived by two of his favorite dogs, Ghost and Thor.
A service celebrating Tony’s life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Tom Tuscone officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the nurses and staff of Centra Hospice and Guggenheimer Health and Rehab. And Dr. Patricia Pletke for the wonderful care they provided to Tony.
