Ruth Reedy Hale

Mrs. Hale was born September 23, 1917 in Chilhowie. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hale is survived by two sons, E. Wayne Hale and wife Lula and Carl M. Hale and wife Edna, both of Lynchburg; a daughter, Nancy H. Gray and husband Reginald of Rustburg; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon), Monday November 4, 2013 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Randy Bower and the Rev. Dr. Robert Putt officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Odd Fellows Home or Gentle Shepherd Hospice.
