She was born on July 20, 1928 in Amherst County, daughter of the late Richard D. Fitzgerald and the late Littie C. Fitzgerald.
Rosie was a member of Mount Olivet United Methodist Church and the former owner of Franks Military Surplus. She enjoyed gardening and outdoor work. Rosie was a wonderful seamstress and really so good at many things that she was considered a Jane of all trades.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank B. Lawson; three sons, Harold D. Lawson, Larry F. Lawson, and Ronald D. Lawson as well as two sisters, Maola F. Waterman and Helen F. Phillips.
She is survived by a brother, Richard T. Fitzgerald (Margo); three sisters, Judy F. Lawson, Naomi F. Bates, and Jane F. Holland; a god daughter, Kim Bomar and two great god daughters Cheyene Abram (Taylor) and Makayla Bomar.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel where a Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
