Naomi Estelle Stillman Allen

Naomi Estelle Stillman Allen, 92, of Lynchburg passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016, at the Guggenheimer Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Hershel Wayne Allen. Born October 14, 1923, in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of the late George Arthur Stillman and the late Mary Ashton Stillman. Naomi was a homemaker and a faithful member of Heritage United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her husband and parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her son, H. Wayne Allen, Jr. and one sister Mary Ellen DuBois. Naomi is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Houchins and her husband David of Forest; one sister, Carol S. Faust and her husband Larry of Lynchburg; two grandchildren, Joyce Houchins Armentrout and her husband Randy and Jennifer Houchins; eight great grandchildren, Christopher, Caroline, Rupert, Aneya, McKenzie, Matthew, Ethan and Caroline; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted, 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Megan Saucier officiating. The family will receive friends 6:30-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
