Margaret Mason Mitchell

Born August 20, 1927 in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Cora Lee Maddox Mason and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Mitchell Fitzgerald; a grandson, Cory Mitchell; two brothers, and seven sisters. She was retired from Runk & Pratt Residential Adult Care and was a member of In His Hands Ministry.

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by three sons, Stewart Mitchell and wife Marlene of Evington, Charles E. Mitchell, Jr. of Lynchburg, and Bryan K. Mitchell and wife Gina of Lynchburg; one daughter, Linda M. Hodges and husband Kenneth of Evington; one brother, Roger Mason and wife Peggy of Evington; eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Leffler Memorial Community Cemetery on Leesville Road.

The family will receive friends Thursday, for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
