Born in Russell County, Virginia, March 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William and Victoria Patrick. She was a member of Eastbrook Baptist Church. She loved her church and church family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ershel Truedell “Pops” Dye her son, William E. Dye in 2005; a great granddaughter, Mary Katlen Dye; and by one brother and five sisters.
She is survived by five children, Vickie D. Moore and husband Wayne, Ricky C. Dye and his companion Elaine Pettry, Nicky A. Dye and his companion Patsy Clark, Debra S. Riley and her husband Tommy and Sandra D. Carter and companion William Arthurs; one daughter-in-law, Marie Dye; her brother, Russell Patrick and his wife Jackie12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Curtis Walkup officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home of her daughter Vickie.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Legion Post 16 in honor of her husband’s service in WWII.
