Born on March 27, 1935 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late James D. Turner and Annis B. Turner. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harland “Jack” Thomas.
She loved going to church and was a member of Cove United Methodist Church and more recently, a member of Big Island Baptist Church. She worked for many years at Harbor Inn in Lynchburg and will be remembered as a devoted wife and friend.
She is survived by her primary caregiver and her rock, Harold “Leeboy” Plott and his wife Alice; godchildren Harold “Mac” Plott, Teresa Putt (Danny) and Jennifer Neas Spencer and special friend, Glenna Putney.
A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Cove United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. Monty Fox officiating.
