James Michael Saunders

James Michael Saunders, born on October 12, 1975, in Lynchburg, Virginia, departed from this world on February 17, 2024. He was the beloved son of James Everette Saunders Jr. and Debbie McGuire Saunders. His father, James Everette Saunders Jr., preceded him in death. He is survived by his brothers, Steven W. Saunders (Tabatha) and Anthony S. Saunders, along with his niece, Kayla Saunders, and nephew, Brenden Saunders. James was a cherished member of his family, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. James had a passion for the outdoors, finding joy in activities such as camping, fishing, and hiking. He found solace in nature and cherished the moments spent in its embrace. A devoted fan of the Washington Redskins, he carried a love for the team throughout his life. However, beyond his interests, James was known for his warm and amiable personality. He had a special place in his heart for family, especially his dear mother, and he embraced every opportunity to be with them. James had a way of spreading happiness and sweetness to everyone he encountered, making a positive impact on those around him. His willingness to lend a helping hand to others reflected the kindness that defined his character. In honor of James Michael Saunders, a private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate his life and the cherished memories he leaves behind. The family has entrusted Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the arrangements. During this difficult time, the family appreciates the love and support from friends and extended family as they come together to remember and honor the life of James Michael Saunders. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love that he so freely gave during his time on this earth.
