Darryl S. Hartman

Darryl S. Hartman, 72, of Lynchburg passed away May 24, 2020, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born July 19, 1947, in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of the late Stanley William Hartman and the late Shirley Drysdale Hartman. Darryl was the co-owner and operator of Herborns. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Darryl is survived by his daughter, Shawn Marie Mejia and her husband Chris of Lynchburg; three siblings, Sheralee ford and her husband Steve of California, Jay Hartman and his wife Pam of New Mexico and Gary Hartman and his wife Candy of Oregon; five grandchildren, Shane Richardson, Kayla Richardson, Christopher Mejia, Jr., James Mejia and Taylor Mejia; two great grandchildren, Jonathan Richardson and Elaina Richardson; and other loving family members and friends. A private, graveside service will be conducted at Meade Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation, however the funeral home will be open from 9 – 5 on Sunday, May 31, 2020 for the public to pay their respects and sign the register. Please note that the funeral home staff will assist in maintaining the 10 person at a time and social distancing guidelines.
