On Monday morning, Darlene Berryman, 58, of Lynchburg passed after a long illness. Her earthly body is asleep and at rest and her spirit has returned to our Almighty God to be awakened in the resurrection.
Born October 8, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Thurman R. Foster and Nellie C. Foster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne H. Berryman, Sr.; her father, Thurman R Foster, Sr.; two brothers, T.R. “Randy” Foster, Jr. and L. Daniel Foster; and one sister, Donna F. Shipman.
Darlene is survived by her mother, Nellie C. Foster of Lynchburg; two sisters, Wanda Almony and Katherine “Kitty” Hostetter (Titus) of Rustburg; four brothers, John Foster (Audra) of South Carolina, David Foster of Bedford, Paul E. Foster (Michelle) of Pamplin and Thomas Foster of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Brooklyn and Ryan Carter of Lynchburg and Peyton Berryman of Madison Heights; son, Wayne Berryman, Jr. (Fallon) of Madison heights; daughter, Renee Carter (Kevin) of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Shannon Holt of Rustburg.
Darlene will be missed by her family for our hearts are heavy but peace be with her now.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 29, 2019, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Sam Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
