Bertha Rogers McClintic

Born July 7, 1914 in Surry County, she was the daughter of the late John Thaddeus and Laura Topping Rogers and was also preceded in death four brothers, Dr. Howard T. Rogers, Percy Rogers, Rupert Rogers, and Ernest Rogers and one sister, Lydia R. Fore. Mrs. McClintic was a loving and devoted wife, sister, and aunt. Mrs. McClintic was a member of Fort Hill United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Elizabeth Harvey Sunday School Class. She was a graduate of Phillips Business College and was a former Clerk of the Appomattox County School Board.

Mrs. McClintic is survived by two nieces and three nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2014 at Olive Branch Cemetery in Prospect, VA, with Senior Pastor Liz Ecklund officiating.
