Baynith Cornelius Moore

Bayntih Cornelius Moore, 89, of Johnson City, TN, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2011, at Franklin Woods Community Hospital in Johnson City. He was the husband of the late Dossie Grant Moore.

Born August 30, 1921 in Appomattox County, he was the son of the late Robert William and Mary Grow Moore. He was a retired pilot with Morris Newspaper Corp. with forty-one years of service and a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. Mr. Moore was a member of First United Methodist Church of Johnson City.

Mr. Moore is survived by two sons, Donald B. Moore of Johnson City and Ronald C. Moore and wife, Doloris of Minneapolis, MN; one brother, Curtis H. Moore and wife, Joyce of Madison Heights; one sister, Doris M. Crowell of Lyons, OH.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2011 at the funeral home.
