Audrey loved to serve her Lord, her church, and her family in various activities and fellowship. Her ministry was based on her love, hospitality, and food. It was the rare occasion that anyone visited Audrey’s home without sharing a meal before leaving her house. Holidays and most Sundays were always joyous family occasions.
Mom always dreamed of a family with three girls. Funny how God has a sense of humor sometimes, as she had a family of three boys instead. Audrey had to wait for her boys to get married before she finally got her family of girls. To the boys, Audrey was always “Super Mom”. Growing up, it seemed like she was always on a ball field somewhere. The boys managed to drag her to ball fields all across the State of Virginia, Louisville, KY, Cincinnati, OH, York, PA to Williamsport, PA. Yes, Audrey even went to a Cincinnati Bengals football game and the Little League World series.
A service celebrating her life and faith will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 3, 2023 at Compassion Church of the Nazarene, 1737 Wards Ferry Road, with Pastor Stephen Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations and offerings to Compassion Church of the Nazarene.
