Linda Dian Ward

A Memorial Service for Linda Ward, 74, of Burke will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Linda was born on June 4, 1948 in Whitney, Texas to Mary (Brazile) and Jesse Underwood. She passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 at a local nursing home.

Linda loved her family. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, reading and gardening. She never met a stranger and loved helping people. She was always doing something; so therefore she didn’t have time to retire!

Survivors include her daughter, Angela Ward of Lufkin, Texas; son Thomas Christopher Ward of Massachusetts; grandsons, Andrew Little, Nathan Little, Benjamin Ward, Tommy Ward; granddaughter, Jessica Little; and brother, Jimmy Underwood. She is also survived by numerous family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Donald Underwood.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
