Funeral services for Jean Spaar Rader, 92, of Lufkin, will be held 1PM on Monday, November 18, 2024 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Denzel officiating. Jean will be laid to rest at Garden of Memories Memorial Park, Lufkin, TX.
Mrs. Rader was born March 9, 1932 in Barnesville, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Genevieve (Wysocki) and John Spaar. She passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in a local hospital.
Jean was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean worked for Angelina College 29 years before retiring in 1997. She was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Survivors include children, Robert Jr. and Marsha Rader of Liberty, Billy Rader of Lufkin, and Terri and Chris Morris of Carthage; grandchildren, Misti Rader Talbert, Katie Rader Hendrix, Justin Terry, Jake Terry, Leah Rader Boyd, Craig Rader, Sara Rader Smathers, Regan Rader Rash, Caleb Rader, and Adren Anglin; 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert J. “Bob” Rader, Sr.; brother, Bill Spaar; and sisters, Jo Spaar and Barbara Spaar Holeczy.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Torres, Jake Terry, Craig Rader, Caleb Rader, and John Talbert.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Terry, Wade Hendrix, and Dustin Rash.
The family will receive family and friends prior to the service at the church.
