Hazel Stubblefield Kuehl, 76, of Lufkin, was born October 9, 1934 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Jessie Mae (Loving) and Nola Beeson Stubblefield. She passed away Monday, November 8, 2010 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Kuehl was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of a Baptist church. She enjoyed bowling - she and her husband had a husband/wife team and bowled all over the State of Texas for 40 years. She also enjoyed fishing. They would fish for perch or anything. As long as the fish were biting, they were fishing. They didn't quit until the fish quit biting.
Survivors include her husband, Don Kuehl of Lufkin; son, Mike Kuehl of Lufkin; grandchildren, Jerri Procell, Sarah Colbert and John David; great grandchildren, Randy James Procell, Caleb Procell, Karson Colbert, Brooklyn Procell and Kenzie Colbert; and cousins, Barbara and James Wyche of Pearland.
Mrs. Kuehl was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Donald Ray Stubblefield.
Mrs. Kuehl's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Drs. Kavitha Pinnamaneni, Sudheer Karnati, Mebba Avhut, Agricel Lugo and Jose Capellan for the care given to her during her last illness.

Graveside services for Mrs. Kuehl will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2010 in the Whitehouse Cemetery with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
