A celebration of life gathering for Andrew “Dewey” Groze, 47, of Lufkin, will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Gipson Funeral Home.

Dewey was born February 8, 1974 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Nancy Patricia Groze and Carrey Joe Herring. He passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021.

Dewey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a skidder driver for H&C Logging and enjoyed working on trucks.

Survivors include his wife, Shelly “Hummingbird” Groze; son, David Groze; daughter, Amy Lynn Groze; granddaughters, Schuyler Marie Wilcox, Macey Groze and Emberlyn Edwards; grandson, David Groze; sisters, Melissa Courtney and Michelle Lofton; brother, Joe Groze; and stepsons, George Wilcox and Dustin Edwards.
