Vivian fought her illness valiantly for over 5 years until our Heavenly Father decided she had fought a good fight and it was time for her to receive her reward.
Vivian attended Lubbock Public Schools and was a 1982 graduate of Lubbock High School. She earned her certification from International Business College and worked in the Medical Administration field; most recently at University Medical Center.
Vivian was a member at Community Heights Church, where she volunteered in the infant department.
Vivian loved her family very much; she enjoyed spending time with her two grandchildren. She loved opening her home up to family and friends, either baking up sweets or firing up the backyard grill and grilling whatever she might have for everyone to enjoy. Vivian had a unique laugh that would scare those around her that might not know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son Caleb Mack Brown.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Tim Brown (Clarissa), Everett Brown (Anissa), and Josiah Spence all of Lubbock; grandchildren, Noahh and Luna; two sisters, Amelia Garcia(Martin) of Lubbock and Anita Moring of Houston; paternal grandfather, Trine Soto of Idalou; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2020 at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel.
Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church, 5301 82nd Street, Lubbock, Texas 79424.
Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
