Sue Taylor

Sue married the love of her life, John O Taylor, on September 11, 1948 and they were happily married for 62 years until his death in 2010. She was a homemaker while her children were small then began a career as a registrar at Monterey High School in Lubbock. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Lubbock for more than 60 years.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Johnita Hinton of Big Spring, TX and Donna and husband Gene Cagle of Irving, TX; son, Keith Taylor and wife Debbie of Manchaca, TX; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous friends and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Betty Lou Giles Knight and Shirley Giles McHugh and brother Charles Giles.

Visitation will be held Monday January 5, 2015 at Resthaven Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm. Graveside services will be Tuesday January 6, in Resthaven Memorial Park at 10 am with Rev John Ballard officiating. Memorial may be made to First Baptist Church.
