Ruby was born in Childress, Texas, to Beulah and William Whiteside on February 15th, 1933.
She would go on to marry the love of her life, Mr. Jack Sims, in 1952, and enjoy 65 wonderful years of marriage together.
Over the years, she was a part of the communities of Smyer, Texas, Lubbock, Texas, Brownwood, Texas, and Sanger, Texas.
Ruby spent her time creating and keeping a beautiful home for her three daughters and was known for being an excellent cook and for her love of sewing.
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband, Billy Jack Sims.
Those left to cherish Ruby’s memory include her daughters; Patricia Ann Shuck and husband John of Londonderry, New Hampshire; Jacquelyn Marie Cannaday of Shallowater, Texas; and Leigh Michelle Sims and her fiancé Robert Reyna of Sanger, Texas. Ruby’s legacy extends to her grandchildren; Audrey Ann Marie Bracewell and husband David of Austin, Texas; Vivian Rose Cooper of Arlington, Texas; and Elijah Joseph Cooper of Sanger, Texas.
